This event is triggered if one of the following occurs:

• The compressed Audio content is not encoded/present.
• Audio cannot be decoded or produced by the Decoder.
• There is no audio PID in the TS, or on the HLS or MPEG-DASH stream.

Audio Silence is detected for a longer time than the configured thresholds. The message specifies the relevant PID.

Silence is calculated as 0 - 70 (dB) for all the Audio Silence related Events.

The audio phase error detected between Stereo or 5.1 content for a longer time than the configured threshold. The message specifies the relevant PID.

Audio Peak

The audio peak detected is higher than configured. The default threshold defines the distance from max sample value in dBTP units according to ITU-1770-2, EBU-R-128 (3341, 3342, 3343, 3344) standards. The message specifies the relevant PID.

3s Audio Level

The audio detected short-term loudness above the configured value (calculated on a 3-second interval). The message specifies the relevant PID. Loudness value is measured in LUFS units.

Detect Mono Audio (on streams with 2 or more channels)

Audio Mono

Mono audio detecting operates on Stereo or above programs. Audio level measurement of the differences between the left and the right channels is done. For the stereo channel, there should be some difference in amplitude.

The event will trigger when Mono audio content is detected on the Stereo channel for a duration exceeding the configured threshold.

Monitor dialnorm vs expected static configured value

Dialnorm Mismatch

Dialnorm is only relevant for Dolby content. The value ranges between -1 to -31 and provides an indication of the level of the dialogue from the Audio content feed. It's basically the number displayed on the audio bars in yellow.
The event will trigger when the detected value is different than the expected static configured value.

It is triggered if the Audio level is above X LUFS for more than 60 seconds or as defined in the channel.
