The MCM9000 works on the Legacy Compressed Bridge that moves content between different servers. It sends the same multicast of the source over TCP to the server which needs this content. The Legacy Compressed Bridge works only on stacked MCMs (i.e.); the MCMs already know the configuration of the channels from the stack.The new new video bridge works on compressed and uncompressed content and doesn’t work on a stacked system. Thus, the new bridge is relevant only while working with MCS, which manages multiple MCMs.
