In this section, the Thersholds configuration is described.

Threshold Sets consist of numerous event detection that could be configured and associated with different channels. These events trigger an alarm whenever there is an error in the system (i.e.) when the desired action does not occur within the specified Threshold value.

Generally, the Threshold Sets are in a Default set. It is recommended to create a new set that is identical to the Default set and change this new set to match the characteristics of the monitored channels when applicable. The below options are available while creating new Threshold Sets.

You can create new Threshold Sets by clicking on add or copy the default set by clicking on copy and save.

All the events specified in Event Codes of MCM9000 are present in the MCS Threshold Sets. Use the search option if you want to search a specific event (for example, the OTT events with Label HLS).

In MCS, all the Tables all on the same page unlike MCM9000 that are seggregated into tables.

Thresholds Usage

To configure Threshold and use it for monitoring please follow the steps below.

  1. Create a copy of the default threshold (recommended), and edit the copy based on your preference (same as MCM9000). In this example it is Default_copy.

  2. Navigate to Sources → Sources Config, double click on the channel source you want to configure thresholds, go to profiles section and choose the threshold created in step 1 and click on save.

    **You can create different threshold for different channels based on your preference and use it under profiles section.
