System System Log

System log tracks all system-related events and operator actions of all devices in the stack. The system log GUI has the below fields and icons.

Fields

Description

Type

The Type field is essential for technical support purposes. The error type code should be mentioned while contacting customer support. The error code is unique for each source that caused the event. (e.g., Manager, FTP Server, Web Server, etc.)
It also has a free-text field to search the Type.

Source

Specifies the source from where the event originated. (e.g., Manager, FTP Server, Web Server, etc.).
It also has a free-text field to search the Source.

Device

Name of the device from which the event is logged.
It also has a drop-down list field to select the name of the Device.

Description

It provides a short description of the event that occurred.
It also has a free-text field to search the Description with keywords.

Occurrences

It shows the count of a recurring event on the same source.

Severity

The system logs are classified based on the Severity as Critical, Major, Minor, Warning, Notice, Info.
It also has a drop-down list field to select the logs based on Severity.

Username

The name of the user logged into the system. (e.g., Admin, View, etc.)

Time

Time and hour, the event occurred.





Icons

Description

To delete an event, select the desired event and click on the delete icon.
Click on remove to delete the event permanently.

To refresh the System logs GUI, click on the refresh icon.
