Notifications → Notification Agents → Kafka Agent
** Version 6.0.2 onwards event notification through Kafka Agent is supported.
Kafka Agent is for third-party integration provides event notifications like SNMP/Syslog agent and allocates severity for each notification set. It has the below fields.
Fields | Description |
Name | Name of the Kafka Agent. |
Host | Specifies IP or hostname of the ‘zoo keeper’. ** The ‘zoo keeper’ is a Kafka element that redirects to the agent itself (load balancing and so). |
Port | Kafka Agent port. The default port is 9092. |
Topic | It is a field for Kafka. If left black, we apply ‘mcm9000’ as the message topic. |
| Ignore Notification Sets | If enabled, all messages are sent for all sources except the notification set configuration. |
| Network | Select the network interface to connect with the Kafka agent. Auto for automatic selection. |
