If you choose to design a new customized template, add (+) the blank Layout template. Specify the layout template Name and Resolution. The below figure shows an illustration of designing your own Layout Editor. Choose the desired tile type(s) from the left and drag and drop them to the layout view. There is also a filter option to filter the Tile Type.

Arranging the boxes within the display is done manually (with the mouse), using the axis and dimension fields or the editing buttons described below. For multiple selections of the box types, use the Shift key.

Each box displays the Tile Types Name, Axis, and Dimension. Axis (X, Y) specifies the layout position where the box is placed. Dimension (W, H) sets the Width and Height of the chosen box type. The width and height can be set as desired. However, each Tile Types has a minimum Dimension by default. For a detailed visual representation of all the available box types, please refer to Tile Types.

This example uses eight boxes with different color categories, as discussed below.

  • Tile 1 : The light green color indicates it's a clock (E.g., Dark Analog Clock).

  • Tile 2 : The olive green color indicates it's a JPEG (E.g., JPEG Object).

  • Tile 3 :The purple color indicates Text Box (E.g., Scrolling Text Box).

  • Tile 4 : The blue color is the default color for audio and video boxes (E.g., 1A Minimal and Audio – Basic).

  • Tile 5 and 6 : The red color indicates that two or more boxes are overlapping and need to be fixed (E.g., 2A Clear Audio and static audio 2+2, UMD). Overlapping tile doesn’t allow to save the configuration.

  • Tile 7 : The yellow color indicates that the box is selected (E.g., 32A two rows).

In order to save this template adjust the overlapping tiles (in red) and click on save. The newly created template is available in the Template list.
