Initial Installation and configuration

Get Started! 

A.     Plug the provided MCM-9000 dongle into a USB port

B.     Boot up the machine

After the System completes the initial boot sequence, the CLI (Command Line Interface) will be visible on the local display and should look similar to the screenshot below.

C.     Using a regular keyboard and VGA screen, the user should configure at least one NIC (Network Interface Card) to have access to the MCM-9000 Web Management GUI.

D.     First, under "enter selection", type "factory default" and then enter.

The System will ask if you are sure; type "yes" then enter.

E.      To configure a NIC, under "enter selection" type the active network interface and the assigned legal IP address (i.e. "eth1 ip 192.168.0.125") and hit enter.

F.     When the following screen appears – the unit is up and ready. You should see the IP address you entered under the "IP" column.

Settings of the network properties of the CLI are not automatically saved, therefore, it is critical to save your work at this stage.

A.     Under "enter selection" type "save", then enter.              

B.     The Web Management is now available on all active (status: "up") Ethernet Ports.
