Overview

Groups with Neither Access nor Resource Type are used to add hashtags to various MCS resources, features, and settings. This feature replaces the older hashtag functionality in previous MCS versions. Using groups with no type allows you to create hashtags for description and filtering (search) purposes, improving organization and usability.


Configure Hashtags

Create a New Group with No Type

  1. Create a new group and leave the Type field empty.


Create Hashtags in MCS Resources, Features, and Settings

  1. Log in to the MCS.

  2. Click on the menu icon to open the widget menu.

  3. Select the MCS resource, feature, or setting where you want to configure a hashtag.

  4. Locate the Groups field.

  5. Add Hashtags in the Group Field

    1. Add Existing Groups

      1. Click on the Groups field to view the list of existing groups.

      2. Select one or more groups by clicking on their names.

        • You can type in the search bar to find a group that starts with the letters you typed.

    2. Add a New Group

      1. Type a new group name and press Enter or type a comma.

        • If you create a new group here, you must also create a new group with the No type using this name.

Notes

  • You can add multiple groups at the same time.

  • In any MCS feature with a Groups field, you can use hashtags to describe resources, features, or settings.

  • In MCS features that include a Group field and a filter option, you can search for resources, features, or settings using their hashtags.
