Sources → Scan

The scanner is the recommended mechanism for source channel configuration over the manual configuration.

The Scan Channels GUI has the following field and icons.

	To add a new channel Source for scan, click on the add icon. Select the desired type of channel to add channel configuration. Please refer to Scan Source for the configuration GUI for the preferred source. From version, 5.6 onwards scanning NDI sources are available. Click on submit once the configuration for the desired* Scan Source is done.
	To edit the details of an existing Scan Source, select the desired Scan Source, and click on the edit icon. Click on submit to save the edited channel configuration. Please note that the Scan Source cannot be changed once configured.
	To delete an existing Scan Source, select the desired Scan Source and click on the delete icon. Click on Remove to delete the channel configuration permanently.
	To refresh the Scan Channels GUI, click on the refresh icon.

*Fields*	*Description*
Mode	The status of the scan process.
Range	The format of the streams that were/are scanned.
Device	Monitoring device that runs the scan.
Network	Logical network name, as configured under Network.
Status	Shows the sources found by the scan process.
Progress	Specifies the scan progress (in percentage).
Time Remained	Specifies the estimated time remained (in seconds).
Cancel/Start	To re-run a task, double click on the Play icon of the desired scan on the Cancel/Start column. To stop a scan, click the Stop icon.
