_Sources  Configuration_

Channel sources can be scanned automatically or configured manually or through API. In this section, you can configure the Sources manually. The different Sources available are SPTS, MPTS, HLS, RTMP, Uncompressed, MPEG-DASH, MSS, and CTP. The manual configuration of these sources varies from each other. Please choose the appropriate Source type that needs to be configured.







The below icons are present on the top right corner of the Sources GUI.

Icons

Description

To add a new channel Source, click on the add icon. Select the desired type of channel to add channel configuration. Please refer to Source types for the configuration GUI for the preferred source.

Click on submit once the configuration for the desired Source types is done.

To copy an existing channel configuration, click on the copy icon.

To edit the details of an existing channel Source, select the desired SourceChannel Source Types0, and click on the edit icon.
Click on submit to save the edited channel configuration.
Please note that the channel Source type cannot be changed once configured.

To delete an existing Source, select the desired SourceChannel Source Types0 and click on the delete icon.
Click on Remove to delete the channel configuration permanently.

To refresh the Sources Configuration GUI, click on the refresh icon.

The channels added through the automatic Scan are visible (grayed out) in the Source Configuration GUI. To add a scanned channel, click on the Add Scanned icon.

To remove the scanned channel permanently, click on Remove Scanned icon.









The Source Configuration toolbar has the below filtering option with a toggle switch.

Icons

Description

When enabled, it displays all the channels that are monitored.

When enabled, it displays all the channels that are not monitored.

When enabled, it selects all the channels that are available after the automatic Scan.

When enabled, it displays all the HD channels.

When enabled, it displays all the SD channels.

When enabled, it displays all the Audio channels.

When enabled, it displays all the Scrambled channels.


Additionally, the configuration toolbar has dropdown lists that can filter the channels available based on Device name, Source type, or Interface ID.
It also has a search bar that can filter the sources based on Name, IP/URL, Port, or Program Number.
The Source Configuration has the below fields.

Fields

Description

Name

Display name of the channel source.

Access

Channel Source Type.

IP Address/URL

IP address or URL of the channel source.

Port

Source port number of the selected Source type.

Program Number

Service ID, as defined in the PAT table of the Multicast source

Network

Logical network name, as configured under Network.

Device

Monitoring device name.

Level

Monitoring levels (Full, Light, Extra Light).
Full Monitoring: One full license or the full amount of SD points will be consumed by the system, and full monitoring will be done.
Light Monitoring: A third of a license or a third of the SD points will be consumed, and the monitoring level will be for a third of the time.
Extra Light Monitoring: A fifth of a license or a fifth of the SD points will be consumed, and the monitoring level will be for a fifth of the time.

Monitor

Double click to enable/disable.
When enabled, the system starts monitoring the source according to the threshold set assigned to it. If the system is in a stack, you will be prompted to select the device from which you want the source to be scanned.

Record

Double click to enable/disable.
When enabled, the source can be recorded when the related event is active.

Thresholds

Channel monitoring thresholds set; clicking the magnifier displays the configured Threshold Sets for the respective channel source. To reconfigure the Thresholds, please refer to Thresholds.

Notifications

Channel monitoring notifications set; clicking the magnifier displays the configured Notification Sets for the respective channel source. To reconfigure the Notifications, please refer to Notifications.
