Upgrade MCM via MCS version control

MCS offers the ability to upgrade the MCM devices from the MCS version 0.9.8 and MCM version 6.0.5 onwards.

**From MCS version 1.1.1 (onwards) compatible with MCM 6.3.1 and above, mp3 and jpeg files can be uploaded via MCS and pushed to MCM9000.

Please follow the steps below to upgrade MCM devices from MCS.

  1. Once you have added the MCM devices, click on the three lines icon highlighted in the left pane and go to Management → MCM Files.

  1. Click on the Upload option, and browse the MCM file (software, license, firmware, audio or jpeg image file) you need to upload.

The MCM file is uploading.

  1. All the MCM files (software, license, firmware, audio, or jpeg image) that are uploaded are displayed under MCM Files.

 

  1. Now navigate to Management → MCM Version page.

  1. Click on Files, this will display all the software, license, firmware files that are currently available under Management → MCM Files.

** From version 1.2.1 onwards, the next boot image is denoted with an exclamation mark when the Current and Next Boot images differ. When the Current and Next Boot images are the same, the software and firmware not currently used are greyed out.

  1. The current MCM image is 6.3.14. To upgrade it to the next version 6.3.15, first select the image under Software Versions and click on upload.

Click on Yes to confirm ingesting the file into MCM device.

  1. To upgrade select the MCM device and click on the Switch Next Boot Images & Reboot icon as shown below.

Click on Yes to confirm upgrade on the selected MCM devices.

The selected MCM device is upgraded with the latest files.
