→ System Log
System log tracks all system-related events and operator actions of all devices in the stack. The system log GUI has the below fields and icons.
Fields | Description |
Type | The Type field is essential for technical support purposes. The error type code should be mentioned while contacting customer support. The error code is unique for each source that caused the event. (e.g., Manager, FTP Server, Web Server, etc.) It also has a free-text field to search the Type. |
Source | Specifies the source from where the event originated. (e.g., Manager, FTP Server, Web Server, etc.). It also has a free-text field to search the Source. |
Device | Name of the device from which the event is logged. It also has a drop-down list field to select the name of the Device. |
Description | It provides a short description of the event that occurred. It also has a free-text field to search the Description with keywords. |
Occurrences | It shows the count of a recurring event on the same source. |
Severity | The system logs are classified based on the Severity as Critical, Major, Minor, Warning, Notice, Info. It also has a drop-down list field to select the logs based on Severity. |
Username | The name of the user logged into the system. (e.g., Admin, View, etc.) |
Time | Time and hour, the event occurred. |
Icons | Description |
To delete an event, select the desired event and click on the delete icon. |
To refresh the System logs GUI, click on the refresh icon. |
