Version 6.0 onwards MCM9000 supports, TR-07 and TR-08 code type.

Version 6.0.5 onwards JXS encoder interlaced option is avialable. Choose the Linear Codec Type as TR-07 or TR-08, JXS Video Bitrate (Mbps) is 25fps (for interlaced), SDI over IP format is HD-SDI (Interlaced) and check the Interlacing option as shown below.

The Encoder Configuration has the below fields.

FieldsDescription

Name

SDT channel name for the created mosaic.

User Name / UUID

Unique username ID for the channel.

Enabled

Double click on the toggle switch. When enabled (), displays the device is enabled, and the corresponding encoder is listed in the mosaics and vice versa.

Codec Type

Mosaic stream codec type for compressed sources. (Mpeg2, H.264, H.265 LQ, H.265 HQ, H.264 HQ).

*Please refer to the appendix Output Stream Specifications for the supported types.

Linear Codec Type

Mosaic stream codec type for uncompressed sources. (2022-6, 2110-20).

Version 6.0 onwards MCM9000 supports, TR-07 and TR-08 code type.

Uncompressed cant be sent in parallel if we choose JXS. It is selected instead of 2110 and 2022-6.

TR-08 is based on 2110, that acts like a carrier (RTP-2110), TR 07 is MPEG-TS based. In both cases it’s the same compression.

*Please refer to the appendix Output Stream Specifications for the supported types.

JXS Video Bitrate (Mbps)

Version 6.0 onwards MCM9000 supports, JXS Video Bitrate.

In automatic mode, 300Mbps for HD (60 frames)

150Mbps (25 and 30 frames)

For UHD 600Mbps for lower bit rate and 1.2 Giga bit for high frame rate.

Interlaced works only on 25fps.

SDI over IP format

The following standards are available for uncompressed sources.

  • HD-SDI is a high-definition serial digital interface (HD-SDI) and is standardized in SMPTE 292M; this provides a nominal data rate of 1.485 Gbit/s. Example video format: 720p, 1080i.
  • 3G-SDI (standardized in SMPTE 424M) consists of a single 2.970 Gbit/s serial link that allows replacing dual-link HD-SDI. Example video format: 1080p60
  • Quad Split (interlaced)
  • Quad Split (progressive)
  • 2SI (interlaced)
  • 2SI (progressive)
  • 6G/12G-SDI 6G-SDI is standard SMPTE ST 2081, with a data rate of 6 Gbit/s. Example video format: 1080p120, 2160p30. 12G-SDI is standard SMPTE ST 2082, with a data rate of 12 Gbit/s. Example video format: 2160p60.

Uncompressed Latency Settings

Select the latency settings from the dropdown. The default is Regular (5).

Audio Meter Display

Select the desired audio meter display standard (PPM or EBU).

Resolution

Specifies the output mosaic resolution for compressed sources; the chosen resolution should match the layout resolution.

Interlacing

When checked (), it is interlaced. Else, progressive.

*Relevant for compressed sources. For uncompressed, please choose from the dropdown in "SDI over IP format".

VBV Limit (Mbps)

Specify the value in Mbps or use auto settings (auto settings are highly recommended).

Video Bitrate (Mbps)

Specify the encoded mosaic bitrate; range: 0.5 to 30 (in Mbps).

Deblocking

Deblocking toggle switch; relevant for H.264 only.

Downscale 4K on compressed stream

When checked (), it downscales 4K resolution to 1080.

For example, for a higher frame rate (e.g., 50fps) and 4K resolution (e.g., 3840x2160), one can choose to downscale 4K to 1080 resolution by checking this box.

Downrate 50/59.94/60 Frame rate on compressed stream

When checked, it downrates the higher frame rate to half of the specified rate.

For example, for a higher frame rate (e.g., 50fps) and 4K resolution (e.g., 3840x2160), one can choose to downrate the frame rate to 25fps by checking this box.

GOP Size

Encoded stream max GOP size: 24 or 50.

Frame Rate

Frame rate reduction mode for low bandwidth transmission. Note: when the mosaic frame rate is reduced to less than standard, the layout cycle feature is disabled.

GOP Size Mode

Select the GOP size mode (Static or Dynamic).

Static: Constant; configured GOP size is fixed.
Dynamic: Non-constant; configured GOP size is the max value.

SDI out

Not in use.

Display Alarms

When checked, it displays alarms on the output mosaic.

Behavior on Input Loss

Select the behavior on Input loss that needs to be displayed on the mosaic from the dropdown list (Icon, Dark Freeze + Icon, Freeze + Icon, or Freeze). For example, if the channel is down, the mosaic displays a Freeze + Icon.
