Site Readiness checklist for MCM9000

Please follow the below site readiness checklist before using the MCM9000.

Please ensure that your CPUs are certified as per the requirements mentioned here: RECOMMENDED ENTRY-LEVEL HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS.
TAG Servers are properly installed in an equipment rack located in an air-conditioned / Ventilated space that meets the environmental specifications of the server manufacturer.
TAG Servers are powered. Please ensure to take off the packaging (e.g., plastic) from the TAG Servers to avoid melting while the servers are heated up.
The recommended maximum working temperature on the CPU is below 60 C, and on Mellanox is below 70C.
TAG Servers BIOS settings configured.
Please ensure to open the port list as specified here: MCM9000 Port list.
Network interface cards installed.
The Mellanox interface card should hold the updated firmware.
TAG Servers interface IP configuration completed.
The network configuration should be pre-configured to handle multicast.
Please ensure that the DNS is configured.
Please ensure that the NTP or PTP is configured.
Customer Management and/or Video network setup and connectivity are confirmed at the speeds that are specified on the Deployment Sheet.
MCM9000 Server should not be used for storage beside the application itself.
TAG Servers are stacked. Please learn about stacking here How to build a Stack.

You can check/uncheck the above checklist for all the requirements you have and don’t have. By default, its unchecked.

Please ensure that the above checklist is ready before the Engineer’s site visit.
