SCTE-35 B is a protocol used to signal all kinds of program and ad insertion events in linear transport streams and newer OTT delivery formats such as HLS and DASH. It is used to get alerts if there hasn't been a message within so many minutes. For example, send an alert if a commercial break start hasn't been received in an hour.
Version 6.0 onwards MCM9000 provides additional events 514 to 527 SCTE-35 B messages.
