**Static KMS encryption is available on MCM9000 from version 5.6.6 onwards.

To configure Static KMS, follow the steps below.

  1. Navigate to KMS → KMS Configuration on the MCM9000.

  2. Click on the add icon highlighted in red to add a KMS type. Give a name and choose the Type as Static from the dropdown.

 

3. Fill in the details appropriately.

Fields

Description

Name

Name of the KMS. 

Type

Type of KMS (Static).

Static Keys

Configure a static KMS with the format <keyid>=<key>:<iv>,<keyid>=<key>:<iv>. Can add more than one entry by using “,” or “;”

For example, 221bd4b8e8413a18a6663f1dad126d86=726f1f4a7cc6420dee6e8db7314e64c8:510ac1a9694f0e63c92bd851147aaf3f

Click on Submit once you fill in all the fields.

 

4. Scan a OTT channel. Please refer to Scan for detailed description on Scanning sources.

5. Navigate to Sources → Configuration and edit the channel to set the Encryption Type to Static.

Click on Submit to save the configuration.
