LACP Bonding Network Configuration

LACP (Link Aggregation Control Protocol) is a protocol that supports the exchange of link aggregation information between two switches.

** MCM9000 supports VLAN configuration from version 6.0 onwards.

**Please ensure to configure the LACP Bonding on your network switch before proceeding further (In this example, LACP bonding for two (Primary and Backup) bonding is shown).

Follow the steps below to configure LACP Bonding on MCM9000.

Trouble shooting steps when there LACP connection is unsuccessful

  1. LACP Configuration: Ensure the switch and server are both properly configured for LACP.

  1. Bonding Mode: Verify the LACP bonding mode is set correctly.IP Addressing: Verify the bonded interface has the correct IP and no conflicts.

  1. Firewall: Check for firewall rules blocking ICMP (ping) traffic.

  1. VLAN Configuration: Confirm correct VLAN settings if applicable.

  1. IP Addressing: Ensure the bonded interface has a single, correct IP address assigned.

  1. ARP Cache: Clear ARP tables on both the server and switch.

  1. MTU Mismatch: Ensure MTU sizes are consistent across the network path.
