VLAN Network Configuration

VLAN is a logical separation between networks. One interface is separated into VLANs. The network interface (e.g., eth0, eth1, etc.) should be configured in the network switch for VLAN to work.

** MCM9000 supports VLAN configuration from version 6.0 onwards.

Follow the steps below to configure VLAN.

  1. Navigate to Networks → Configuration, create network names (e.g. VLAN10) and click on save.

  2. Click on the add icon, and select the Network as the network name created in step 1 (VLAN10), Type as VLAN, VLAN Interface as specified in step 1 and VLAN ID to be tagged to the network interface. Click on Submit.

The interface is created as VLAN type and Interface ID is tagged eth0.10.

  3. Once you configure the VLAN, it can be used in all the places instead of Physical interface. For example, In Source → Configuration, under networks VLAN interface is available.
