NDI Discovery Services through NDI tools

To configure NDI Discovery Services via NAI tools, follow the below procedure.

**Please note, version 5.7.5 onwards NDI Discovery Services can be configured within MCM9000 itself and this procedure is not applicable.

Run the NDI Launcher that comprises the NDI tools as shown below.

Launch also the NDI Discovery services. To download the NDI Discovery server please check https://www.ndi.tv/tools/..

The NDI Discovery services registers all the devices and sources that are in the same network. For example, to discover any NDI sources on NDI Discovery Services, double click any tools (in this example, Test Patterns and Screen Capture) on the NDI Launcher, the logs are displayed on NDI Discovery Services

Once you add the NDI sources through the NDI tools and NDI Discovery Services and scan in the MCM9000, the sources are automatically discovered on MCM9000.

To register the MCM9000 Output Status in NDI discovery follow the steps below.

  1. Click on the Access Manager in the NDI tools.

  2. Click on the External Sources and IP address of the NDI MCM9000 device that needs to be mapped to NDI Discovery Services.

In the Advanced tab and enter the IP address of the Discovery Servers (i.e. IP address of the system which has the NDI Discovery Services and NDI Tools) and click on OK.

    3. Now click on the NDI Bridge.

  3. The Local bridge enables to connect everything that was added through the access manager to the NDI bridge.

When you click on start on the NDI Local Bridge, in the NDI Discovery Service all the NDI sources in the devices added through the Access Manager (in step 1) are visible.

Now, go to the MCM9000 and scan (Sources → Scan) the Discovery Servers specified in the Access Manager in step 2.

In this example, 192.168.10.206 is used for Discovery Servers and 3 External Sources (MCM9000 devices - 192.168.10.212, 192.168.10.104, and 192.168.10.217) are configured.

All the NDI sources should be now visible after scanning in the MCM9000 devices configured in the Discovery Servers (192.168.10.206).

**Please note that using NDI tools to connect the discovery server is only temporary workaround, R&D is working to add the NDI discovery server implementation.
